Terms and conditions

These terms apply to quotations and work from Kozijnen Heemstede, unless something else has been agreed in writing. What the quotation says takes precedence over what is written here.

Quotation

A quotation is valid for thirty days and is based on sizes taken in the rebate. A price indication based on a photo is not a quotation and binds neither party.

Permit

Where the work needs a permit (omgevingsvergunning), nothing is ordered until it has been granted. If the municipality refuses it, the job lapses and you pay only for what was actually made or ordered by then, with the receipts attached.

Additional work

What only becomes visible once the old frame is out, such as rotten internal timber or a settled lintel, counts as additional work. It is reported in advance with a price and proceeds only after you agree. Without your agreement the work is finished and closed up in its existing state.

Payment

For jobs above 2,500 euro: 30 percent on ordering the material, 60 percent at the start of fitting and 10 percent on completion. Below that amount, one instalment after completion. Payment term fourteen days.

Warranty

Two years on fitting and sealing. The sealed glass unit carries the glass maker warranty, normally ten years against seal failure; it is issued in your name and the supplier is named on the quotation. Six years on rot in newly supplied frame timber, provided the painting maintenance has been carried out.

Completion

At completion the frames are walked through together. Points recorded then are put right within four weeks. If nothing is recorded, the work counts as completed.
